Treacle tart (my way)

  • 1 pint golden syrup
  • 1/2 pint double cream
  • 5 whole eggs
  • 6oz white breadcrumbs
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 peeled grated bramley
  • mix spice and cinnamon
  1. Warm cream and golden syrup
  2. Whisk eggs, add syrup and cream and everything else
  3. 160°c, 40m. Should have a sight wobble.
